Hi. I don't see the accessibility option in the classic view in my control
panel. When I go to the category view and click on the accessibility link and click on the link to adjust the keyboard settings, I get a message that the system can't find appwiz.exe. I think that is the name of the program. I can fine and search for it. However, when I open the file, it brings up the wizard not the multipaged dialogue box that showed up before. I have no idea when this started happening. I hope this can be fixed. I should add that I am blind and can't used the mouse. I can use the keyboard for the mouse though. Thanks. |

What now? You still haven't said what operating system you are running. Also, your statement means nothing to me. As Mike mentioned; the first thing that must be known is your version of Windows ('98, ME, XP, etc.) Secondly; am I correct in assuming that you *used* to have this function, and that you have accessed it before? If so, how long ago, and what (if anything) happened around the time that this happened? Did you install updates or new programs, make any system changes or have any kind of virus infection, or related problem? There may be something that seems unrelated that could provide a clue. -- "The more detail you can provide about your problem, and your system; the more likely a solution can be found for you." |

Sorry. I have windows xp. I don't know when this started happening. I do a weekly scan of my computer using Norton antivirus 2002. I don't know if this is related, but I can't find the "windows xp modified" theme. All I have is custom.theme. Could this have anything to do with it. I can still access explorer with CTRL+E. I don't know when I lost that file. I also check the windows update sight regularly; that's all I install. I tried a system restore, but no luck. I can access everything else fine in the control panel. I hope this helps. |
