I am looking for opinions on live web support software, along the lines of
what is offered by http://www.instantcm.com

It is where you have a link on your page where the visitor can click and
enter into a chat-like environment with someone at the company.

On the surface it looks like it might be a good way to close a sale. The
cost appears to be small enough (these guys are $25 per month, though I've
seen cheaper).

I am thinking about having a staff member do this during business hours.

Does anyone have any experience with this? Are there pratfalls to beware of?
Is it effective? Is any one company's software any better than the others?
