Hi. I am getting mass amounts of this stupid MS Virus crap.Does anyone know
of a good anti-spam program. Since Bigpond would be happy to charge me on a
monthly basis for something I think they should have in place anyway.

MailWasher highly recommended
www.mailwasher.com

as their site is under re-construction, you might like to get a copy from my
software page.

Here is a rule (that you can add to) by Ron Martell

<quote>
Here is my OE message rule.

It has been 100% effective for the past 2 days:

Where the message body contains 'This is the qmail program'
or 'Undelivered message to'
or 'I'm sorry to have to inform you that I wasn't able to deliver your
message'
or 'I'm afraid I wasn't able to deliver your message'
or 'Undeliverable mail to'
or 'all known security vulnerabilities'
or 'Undelivered mail to' or 'Undeliverable message to'
or 'I'm sorry I wasn't able to deliver your message'
or 'Undeliverable to'
or 'I'm afraid the message returned below'
or 'Undelivered to'
or 'An e-mail delivered to you contained a virus'
Delete it
and Stop processing more rules

Norton Internet Security 2004 has proven quite effective, both for spam and
anti-virus.... You can get a free trial from www.symantec.com

Install goggle toolbar from download.com, the best I've ever seen.

Norton may be effective, but unfortunately, this app will slow down
everything you do. It doesn't allow efficiency. I recommend EZAntivirus -
just picked this up and am very impressed with performance, ease of use and
price.
thanks to Mike and others for the suggestion. hj

What?! The Google toolbar (which should be downloaded directly
from Google) does *not* block spam, nor these virus 'bounces' (for
want of a better word).

I guess that you are getting confused with web page pop-ups,
which the new Google toolbar does block, though it's not the best.
