Did you try percussive maintainance?

Seriously, if there is no response at all, it's time for servicing or a new
laptop.

Sounds funny. Try taking the battery out, then powering on the laptop with
just the power supply. If that doesn't work, it sounds like the mainboard
in your laptop took a crap.

Have you pressed the power switch?
Maybe you don't usually use the power-switch and have pressed it
accidentally.
Are thiere any lights showing?
