Critical updates

Hi, I've been trying to install a critical update from Microsoft, it keeps failing I must have tried at least 10 times or more, I have tried disabling the firewall and antivirus but it makes no difference. hope someone can help me.

Have a look in Administrative Tools-->Services and check that Cryotographic Services is enabled and started

Had the exact same problem and I believe the update was related
to DirectX. I loaded the latest version of DirectX and then the
MS update was successful.
