When I boot up I get to the desktop without a task bar or icons. The picture
of JJ the Basket Cat sits there as pretty as always. The taskbar starts to
load, along with the clock and then they go away. No, the task bar isn't
hiding anywhere.

I can go to Task Manager/Create New Task/Browse. Explorer, if you please.
Regedit runs; I can do and go everywhere. So, is there something I can do to
download a new desktop file or something? I don't know what it's called.

Well, no one seems to have answered my namesake, so I'll give my 2p worth.
If you can 'patrick', run your AV, might this not be usefull.
I can't really think what might be wrong, though someone (perhaps yourself)
made another post on subject somewhere.

Anyway just to be unhelpfull, you could try stroking 'JJ' the cat, (my cat
won't let me get on unless I stroke her first).
Best wishs Patrick (*I'm* Spartacus)!

Hi, Big Patrick. I did get a complete AV run yesterday and nothing's coming
up. Thanks. Maybe I should pay more attention to the cat. For all I know he
could be the master drive.
