It would be great to know which newsgroup to visit when you have a
particular problem.
Maybe someone could come up with a FAQ which included such a list.

TIA

That would be ****. It would turn usenet (more) into free customer
support. Just rename the bastard Microsoft Usenet. Jesus.

Nothing is off-topic in this NG.
It may be asking rather a lot to expect one person to examine 100,000 groups
to see which 0.1% should be in your list. -actually there are more then 100
subjects known to humanity anyway, so Usenet itself would be a better
resource.
Why not search the list of groups on your server, or at googlegroups?
What next, the 100 most useful websites?
Its a mad idea!

Put "usenet" in the subject-line if you want to mail me, otherwise it will
bounce.
