"The Lord of the Rings - The Fellowship of the Ring" was released on DVD in
three different versions: standard, extended cut, and collector's edition
(extended cut plus National Geographic program & bookends).

Will the second part, "The Two Towers," be released in different versions
too? I want to buy "The Two Towers" when it is released on August 3, but I
want to make sure I get the "extended cut" if there is going to be one.

I got tripped up the first time around. I bought "The Fellowship of the
Ring" the day it was released, only to discover later that the extended cut
version would be available later. (Eventually I acquired the extended cut
version, so all is well.)
