The best-known news program with Yenc decoding built in is
Forteinc.com's Agent. This is the shareware version, Agent, NOT the
freeware version, Free Agent.
The basic problem is that Usenet ("newsgroups") is a text mechanism
and binary files have to be encoded as lines of text.
There are several ways of doing this, UUENCODE, BASE 64 and now Yenc.
Yenc is a newish method which is alleged to be more efficient and have
better error checking.
