Booting problem

Can anyone help me please. Every now and again when I boot my notebook
computer all the LEDs flash OK and it seems to be booting but the screen is
black. Happens about every 2 or 3 weeks for no apparent reason. I have a
Toshiba 2800-300 running Wnidows Xp home with all service packs and windows
updates installed.

Any help would be appreciated.
