MS VARIANT convert to XML DOCUMENT

Hi,
I would like to figure out if there is a convenient way to automatically
encapsulate MS Variant Objects (e.g. Excel ranges), into a XmlDocument class
(DOM).
For instance, I'd like within few VB (.NET) lines get an Excel range and
have a XmlDocument representation that I can share with my other
modules/DLL. So that I pay the MS conversion only once.
