January 29 (web services security) panel discussion at San Diego Supercomputer Center

On January 29 (2-3:30 pm), there will be a panel discussion about security
during a web services conference at the San Diego Supercomputer Center. The
conference is co-sponsored by the San Diego Software Industry Council and the
California Internet2 Technology Evaluation Center (Cal-ITEC).

Panel members include:

Jeff Carmichael CTO and VP Engineering, Tarari, Inc.
Mark Colan Senior Web Services Evangelist, IBM
Rajiv Gupta CTO and co-founder, Confluent Software
Gene Thurston Security Architect, Amber Point

The discussion will include topics such as XML digital signatures, XML
encryption, SAML, XKMS, and more.

To attend the conference, you must pre-register. For non-SDSIC members, the cost
is $50 (breakfast included):
