Any Good Freeware HTML Editors Out There

May I suggest notepad.

Its fast and on most computers...



I think the only things I'd like for my editor, would be syntax
highlighting such as mozilla firefoxs view source option provides, and
insertation of doctypes. No frills. I'm a tough guy!

I would actually use gvim over notepad.

The current version of Quanta (Linux) seems to have a bug that causes it
to freeze. Maybe the next update will fix that.

For Linux there is also Kate and Bluefish

Glad I'm using 3.4.2.

What are you doing when it freezes?

I'm using 3.5.1

What version has the bug? I generally have mine up for weeks on end with
no freeze ups.
