textarea on html form won't scroll on mac - what can I do?

Someone testing a site for me claims his mac won't show vertical
scroll bars when he enters a lot of text in a textarea field on a
form.

The field is simple,

<TEXTAREA NAME="samplefield" ROWS="3" COLS="35">sample text
area</TEXTAREA>

what gives?

Try giving us the URL.... Someone else can test it on a Mac for you.
