you cant run off with someone elses map anyway. they'll get lost. find a

I meant map as "map of Italy" not as " image map" in the example which I
mentioned above.

I did not want to copy that map, I just meant that I have not found any
better map of Italy on the web.
As I mentioned, the maps which are on the sites http:/www.italymap.dk
and http://www.scaiecat-spa-gigi.com were made

for my one-man business, that is Scaiecat Spa Gigi, by a
cooperative society. I paid for those maps of Italy
( I am trying to make the image map myself) They are in jpeg but I shall
also get a tif. image,
so I can always modify that if I want. Anyway, my one-man business bought
the
the exclusive copyrights, so I can use these photos where I want and make
all the copies I want.

I have not seen any map of Italy on the map, which is clearer, small and at
the same time contains so many important information as mine, so the point
is whether it is really possible to make one. The names of the towns and the
motorways are important. It would have taken time for me to get to know for
example how the motorways look like, that means which parts are under
construction and so on.
By the way, I though that you brucie lived in Australia but it seems as you
post from Berlin, don´t you?
How many "brucie" are in this NG?

I meant: "I have not seen any map of Italy on the web, which is clearer,

The question might be whether I could make a better one by saving the .tif
image which I am going to get as .gif.

I have just began doing the map, brucie. It is on another page.
We were talking about the fact that the map (Landeskarta, wenn Du Deutsch
sprichst) of Italy (image) was dark or clear or something.
How did you calculate all the coordinates so fast? Did you use a software or
not?

The Free University of Berlin offers a free newsserver (info available at
<http://www.individual.net>) used by many people all over the world. It's
fast and reliable. No binaries though (which is probably *why* it's so
fast and reliable and is definitely why they can afford to make it free).
I use it even though my ISP offers a newsserver, simply because it's so
much faster.

at my lowest resolution of 800x600 i find it difficult to read the text.
at my normal browsing resolution of 1152x864 its just a blur except for
"ancona" as it hasn't got any background artifacts.

due to those problems and browsers very poor handling of image maps its
unusable to me. i would need normal links to the pages.

it took me longer to read the names than to work out the coords for each
one.

one of my html editors has an image map editor built in
