tracking struts forms changes

Posts: n/a

I have a JSP interface that shows the contents of an object that can be
modified. After the form is posted I have to do different things
depending weather the object has been changed or not. Is there a
"standard" or "common" way to check whether a form has been modified or
if the posted form has the same contents than before?

I thought this could have been a common problem but I could not find
any suggestion for this in the archives.
