how to get the number of rows contained in filteredrowset or a simple
resultset.

for MySQL
rec = st.getResultSet();
d.numCols = rec.getMetaData().getColumnCount();
rec.last(); // move to last row
d.numRows = rec.getRow();
rec.beforeFirst(); // reset to top
