Analyse time spent in synchronized blocks

Hi,
I am looking for a way to calculate the time spent by threads waiting
on synchronized blocks as a portion of the whole execution time.
Essentially I am looking to see the overhead synchronized blocks bring.
Maybe this is possible with dtrace?
