How can i make sure that when i make a new JFrame, that the frame is not
shown in taskbar? I want that because it is some sort of an option window so
it is part of another JFrame.

I think you are looking for javax.swing.JWindow instead of JFrame. If you
say what you are trying to do people might be able to help more.

Use a JDialog instead of a JFrame.

Check out QueryForm, a free, open source, Java/Swing-based

for the differences between JFrames and their related classes, see
http://mindprod.com/jgloss/jframe.html

Unfortunately you can't directly hide/reveal each of the widgets on a
frame.
