Where does Firefox store the bookmarks (favorites) list?

In which directory and file does Firefox keep the list of bookmarks (favorites)?

bookmarks.html, in your profile folder, the location of which varies by OS:

Mozilla or Firefox (For Mozilla profiles look in the Profiles subfolder,
for Firefox, look in Firefox\Profiles)

WinXP, 2K:
C:\Documents and Settings\(username)\Application Data\Mozilla

Win ME, 98:
C:\Windows\Application Data\Mozilla

For Thunderbird, replace Mozilla with Thunderbird in above paths.

They're all in bookmarks.html in your user profile folder.

The two files you need to backup are "bookmarks.bak" and "bookmarks.html"
For 98se, they are located in c:\windows\application
data\mozilla\firefox\profiles\xxx.default\

For XP, they may be in a similar folder, but "bookmarks.bak" and
"bookmarks.html" are the two files you want to backup.
