automating logon to passwd protected urls ?

Posts: n/a
I have an application that starts an html file with mozilla.
I use http://username(E-Mail Removed) to start the html however
the new security setup means that the user still needs to type in a
username and password. The users are not given the username and passwd.
Is there a way to code the transaction so that the users are not
prompted for the username/passwd? The application is written in perl.
