Hello,

I cannot send out e-mails because I get an error message, that the
server is refusing SMTP connections. I have checked my settings and they
are fine. I do receive e-mails, and can send out messages on newsgroups.

Any ideas?

Receiving mail, and sending and receiving newsgroup messages are
different protocols. SMTP is only for sending Mail messages.

So, back to your problem, what exactly does the error message say?
