Hi,
I just switched from Firefox 1.0 PR to Firefox 1.0, using a dial-up modem and W98 SE. Since then one annoying bug occurs when either my connection is down, or my firewall (ZA) is locked. Every time I click a link, whether inside the browser or from an external link, I have the message "address xxx could not be found. Please check the name and try again", which is normal. But the address does not show up in the bar which is a big problem for me because I normally load all the addresses of the pages I want to read offline, then connect, then load all my Web pages, and then disconnect to surf offline. I cannot do this any longer. Anybody has an idea ? Ron Duval |

Anyway I use this workaround: if you put in your user.js file this rows: // Instead of annoying error dialog messages, display pages: user_pref("browser.xul.error_pages.enabled", true); then you'll get a page with an Address Not Found Error, but also with a "Try again" link, so when you are on line you can click that link to have the page loaded.
