1. Edited Firefox's options to allow the site containing the activeX
plugin to install what I needed.

2. Rebooted (just in case), since it still didn't work

3. The video still asked me for a plugin, but a different one...the
QuickTime plugin (the picture looked different as well)

4. Installed the plugin only from QTAlternative and installed the
associated reg file

5. Voila! Video works.

It just shouldn't be that complicated, that's all I'm saying.

What video type are you trying to see? I'm sure you are a unique
situation. All the video I've ever watched never requires so much
dicking around with. Linux or Windows.
