No Signature for Newsgroups?

Hello.

I am yusing Mozilla 1.7.3, I´ve configured my newsaccounts so that in my
an Signature will be attached (Text only).

But it wouldn´t work. The opening of the Mail creation window only takes
longer but the signature wouldn´t be attached.

What´s wrong?

Did you create the sig file in a plain text editor?
Did you store it?
Did you specify the file in the
Edit-->Mail & Newsgroups Account Settings--><name>
Attach this signature area?

Use a plain text editor, I think notepad does it on Windows
Save the file with a unique name (i.e. <name>sig - where <name> is the
name of the newserver account)
I store the sig files in the profile
and tell the program to use them from there
