Ruby on Rails -- WEBrick OK, Apache isn't
I'm trying to get a Ruby on Rails application to work under Apache. It
works fine when run under WEBrick (via "ruby script/server"). I copied the "public" directory (as well as "lib", "app", and "config") to my preferred Apache directory (see below for details). As told in instructions on a web page, I tried executing "dispatch.fcgi". It gets a "Internal Server Error". Far below is the output of "ruby --debug ../dispatch.fcgi". I'm running fedora-release 3-9_2.rhfc3.at ruby 1.8.4-1.fc3 rails 1.0.0 httpd 2.0.53 mod_fastcgi 2.4.2 actionmailer 1.1.5 actionpack 1.11.2 actionwebservice 1.0.0 activerecord 1.13.2 activesupport 1.2.5 fcgi 0.8.6.1 mysql 2.7 rake 0.7.0 sources 0.0.1 -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Exception `MissingSourceFile' at /usr/lib/ruby/gems/1.8/gems/actionwebservice-1.0.0/lib/action_web_service/container/action_controller_container.rb:68 - Missing API definition file in apis/application_api.rb Exception `ActionController::RoutingError' at /usr/lib/ruby/gems/1.8/gems/actionpack-1.11.2/lib/action_controller/routing.rb:469 - Recognition failed for "" Exception `NoMethodError' at /usr/lib/ruby/gems/1.8/gems/activesupport-1.2.5/lib/active_support/whiny_nil.rb:35 - You have a nil object when you didn't expect it!
