Canon PowerShot G1 X samples - DPReview

As usual with DPReview, these shots are not the most demanding. So
they don't tell us everything we need to know about the performance of
this camera's lens and sensor.

However, what they do tell us is that the G1 X has the potential to be
a very fine camera. The high ISO performance is exceptionally good,
and this alone is enough reason to choose a G1 X over a G12 or Nikon
P7100, obviously subject to the price.

I would not be surprised if this sensor later forms the basis of
Canon's entry into mirrorless CSCs (compact system cameras).
