Use CreatechildControls in asp.net 2.0 page

Hi
I have a page that that loads most of its controls dynamiclly(usercontrols).
Is it make sence to add them to the page in CreateChildControls?
Why is it that CreateChildControls is always associated only with Composite
controls. After all a page is sort of a composite control, isn't it?
