Vista boot problem
Acer Aspire M3100 with Vista home premium won't boot.
I have been through all the recovery options except Dos prompt with no luck but two results: "Checking disk for errors The exception breakpoint A breakpoint has been reached (0x0000003) occurred in the application Ox7393b972 Click to terminate" "Problem signature Problem event name Startup Repair V2 Problem signature 01 AutoFailover 02 6.0.6000.16386.6.6001.18000 03 6 04 131074 05 corrupt registry 06 corrupt registry 07 32 08 3 09 rollback registry 10 1009 os version 6.0.6000.2.0.0.256.1 Locale ID: 1033 " I'd like to save the system but no idea where to go next. If so, try chkdsk /r before you re- install. My re-install attempt failed with bsod So, did the chkdsk /r. Result: Number of root causes = 1 Root cause found Registry is corrupt The owner has said don't worry about saving anything so I'll mull it over for a while and maybe re-format. Thanks Ted. |
