Another group you might want to ask is alt.comp.hardware.pc-homebuilt.

When it behaves the same erratic way when you use the 2006 image, it
certainly sounds hardware related. Finding inconsistent hardware problems
is infuriating.

Hi,

As you have mentioned that the issue happens during the time of mouse
movement.....which type of mouse you are using? is it a ps/2 or usb.

If it is ps/2 try with usb mouse and see whether it works fine or not.
