Tiny Computers BSOD
 

I have a friend with a 2 yr old Tiny brand laptop: P3 1Ghz XP Home Edition.

The laptop will no longer boot. All boot options lead to the BSOD.

McAfee rescue disk boots and scans C: and then shows No Volume Label, No
Serial Number and 0 files on the disk.

There is a Tiny Recovery CDROM but it's a ghost disk so the only option
appears to be a clean re-install which will loose all user data, although if
there are 0 files perhaps there's no data to recover.

How should I proceed? Ideas very welcome - Thanks - Alan.
