CompTIA's Security+ certification
Has anyone taken this course? I was reading some information about it.
I was wondering what anyones experiences was on who studied and took the exam. What are the best reference materials and what they feel like the value is of this in the job market. Thanks Nate |
Re: CompTIA's Security+ certification
I took security plus last year. My thought was that A+ was more difficult,
then again I really dislike opening up my machine. I used Network Security Fundamentals from thomson/course technologies. It will help to have both A+ and Net+. You will also need a decent understanding of security concepts and how they apply to end users and admins. As far as value, I have not seen any plus since passing. It is a nice starter test on the way to other security certs. I took the test because I won a free voucher at a security conference. The last note. The test is a mile wide in content but only an inch deep. A lot of material but not deep into any topic. Hope this helps <zantar@verizon.net> wrote in message news:qb5i30pp5b2rot86sg05rskdg2efbf1cmm@4ax.com... > Has anyone taken this course?
