I passed 70-315 today on my 2nd attempt. I been learning c#, asp.net, ado.net
for about a year now. I want to get my career started by appying for some
junior developer roles. should I do this now with my mcp or wait until I have
mcad or mcsd??

Hi faisal, I noticed that 70-315 has alot of ado.net questions, I wouldnt
say the exam is hard, its more tricky than hard, for example when you have to
choose from 4 code samples, they all look alike, you have examin each one in
deatil. Also, if you dont know the answer to a particular answer, sometimes
its easy to rule the answers that are not correct, leaving you to choose from
2 out of 4, using elementry.

I failed 70-315 the 1st time, the 2nd time I took it I found alot easier
than the 1st time, this could be bcos I revised more or that I got a easier
sample of questions.

The 1st time I took the exam many of the questions were choosing from long
samples of code, the 2nd time the exam consitsed of short multiple choice
answers and not so many long code samples.

I assumed it was so we could all laugh at him thinking that one exam
would get him a job. Oh dear....

Looks like only a handful of us were present when God was distributing
brains.

well, no that wasnt the intention, if you read my 1st post I asked wheather
I should start applying for junior developer roles, or wait until I get mcad
and mcsd.

another question, what comes with the mcp welcome kit apart from the
certificate

airwalker,

I applied for positions while on the path to MCAD with little results. I was
hired two weeks after I recieved my MCAD. This is a testament to the value of
a premier certification from Microsoft.

Thanks for ur reply codejunky22.

I've seen some jobs advertising that were asking for applicants with mcp,
mcad or mcsd and about 2 years experience. I've talked to some other people
and they have said the same thing as you, that it would be better to wait
until I have mcad.

In your job role as a developer what are the most comman tasks that you do,
is it mostly ado.net stuff? and when I start applying for developer roles,
what kind of interview questions/test do you think will I come up against.
