STOP 0X000000ED error
Here is an interesting one for someone to help me figure out.
If I turn off my laptop and let it cool down to room temperature, when I power it back on, it will start to load Windows and then Blue Screen with the error noted in the title of this thread. I can repeat this several times until that laptop warms up a bit, upon which the system boots normally with no problems. I have run chkdsk and other drive utilities with no problems found. It is kind of like an old car needing to warm up before it will run without continuing to keep your foot on the gas pedal! This is an older Compaq R3140US laptop. Any ideas? Steve Mencik |
