Linux zealots consumed with the rage and hatred of a force of militant Islamic fundamentalists think that by making enough noise pounding their drums in unison that the rain of Linux will begin and become a flood to sweep Microsoft away.

Martyrdom and suicidal attacks to achieve their aims are honoured forms of furthering the cause.

No. Things have moved on since. There is no need for martyrdom and
suicidal attacks to support the 'cause' nowadays. The internet provides
a highly effective but safe medium to express such zealotry.
