Problems setting up Netgear wireless
I have an HP Pavilion zd8000 and am trying to set up a Netgear WGR614 router.
However, i cannot even get past the set up. The software is saying it cannot detect a cable connection, although the modem is connected and my internet is working. Any help with the setup would be appreciated. The instructions are essentially worthless. Also, anyone who is familiar with this laptop == I was told the card is built into the computer and that I did not have to purchase one with the router. Can anyone confirm this is correct? |
Re: Problems setting up Netgear wireless
select "ignore diconnected harware" on set up.
and please post the correct solution here on routers section: http://www.amw1.com/faq/ "Kelly" <Kelly@discussions.microsoft.com> wrote in message news:6A944224-793D-4F64-A2F5-6157739AEC39@microsoft.com... >I have an HP Pavilion zd8000 and am trying to set up a Netgear WGR614 router. > However, i cannot even get past the set up. > The software is saying it cannot detect a cable connection, although the > modem is connected and my internet is working. > > Any help with the setup would be appreciated. Re: Problems setting up Netgear wireless
Hi
Your description is very broad. What type of Broadband connection you have? Do you have a Wire Desktop as well? Under what circumstances your Internet connection does work, and you can use it? http://www.ezlan.net/faq.html#onewire Wireless - Basic Configuration: http://www.ezlan.net/Wireless_Config.html Wireless Security - http://www.ezlan.net/Wireless_Security.html Jack (MVP-Networking).
