Go to the Samsung website, download the firmware file, burn a disk with the
firmware on it and stick it in the unit.

i downloaded, unzipped and recorded .ruf file containing the firmware to a
cd.

However, the recorder does not recognize the cd. Is there any other means to
update firmware from the .ruf file.
