Which Mid-Priced DVD Recorder Has Best Sound Specs ?

I'm leaning towards names like sony and panasonic.

I'm looking to purchase a DVD recorder that has deep bass, clean highs, balanced
mids, low noise, and every other indicator of quality audio reproduction.
I need the audio inputs to be analogue, and capable of of accepting the audio
signal from the audio outputs of a guitar amplifier.

Any info is greatly appreciated.
