How to copy a DVD?
I was recently on a television newscast. Using a Magnavox VCR/DVD recorder
that I purchased at Wal-Mart, I recorded the news directly from the cable TV line onto a blank DVD. I played back the DVD in the Magnavox and verified that everything successfully recorded. I then plugged the DVD into my computer's DVD drive and played the DVD on the computer and it played just fine with Windows Media Player. My intention is to make copies of the DVD to send to family. But, when I attempt to copy and paste the contents of the DVD onto the computer's hard drive nothing happens. Can someone put me on the right track to doing this? Thank you. |

I use Nero, but there are some freeware DVD copy programs at this location http://www.dirfile.com/freeware/copy-dvd.htm (b) A common problem when recording TV to a DVD is the failure to finalise the disc. Search through the menu on your VCR/DVD recorder to find the steps to finalise a disc so that it can be copied across to a computer or used on a completely different DVD player. |
