upgrading trial version to retail question

If I've installed the x64 trial and gotten it set up the way i like it, is
there a way to turn my trial into the full version once my tech advancement
disc has arrived without clean installing?

Re: upgrading trial version to retail question

Yes, you can do an upgrade from the TAP disc you will receive without having
to wipe your existing installation and settings. You cannot upgrade from the
Trial to the OEM version of XP Pro x64, you have to do a repair.

Re: upgrading trial version to retail question

If everything is working perfectly in Trial, I can't see why it would be
different continuing on that same path with the full version.

Re: upgrading trial version to retail question

Hello Andre,
How is he going to upgrade?
I probably haven't been clear in what I was posting when I replied about
upgrade not being available.
From what I have been told there isn't retail media, so the TAP program
will be sending out OEM media, which only will upgrade other OEM media. It
does not upgrade EVAL media. Repair may be an option.
Thanks,
Darrell Gorter[MSFT]

<> Hello Andre,
<> How is he going to upgrade?
<> I probably haven't been clear in what I was posting when I replied about
<> upgrade not being available.
<> From what I have been told there isn't retail media, so the TAP program
<> will be sending out OEM media, which only will upgrade other OEM media.
It
<> does not upgrade EVAL media. Repair may be an option.
<> Thanks,
<> Darrell Gorter[MSFT]
