Installation issues - VGA instead of DVI
I got my key via MS mail, downloaded the eval edition and burnt the
..iso image by means of Nero 6.
I started installation with SiS S-ATA Raid driver raid303 via F6 and
got horrible screen disturbances before being able to select the
Tried with another SiS S-ATA driver, another x64 eval download
burnt... - same 'picture'.
Sherlock Holmes told me to look for a different cause;-)
Then I replaced the digital monitor cable with an analogous one - VGA
instead of DVI - and ecce! the installation performed smoothly.
Activation via internet no prob (though I am now multi-booting with
WinXP_SP2_ENU, WinXP_SP2_DE, WinXP_x64_RC2, and WinXP_x64_Eval in one
