70-316 prep time - .NET newbie

In your opinion is it possible to pass 70-316 by
self-study, without prior exposure to .NET (and
Java/C++/ASP/VB background) How long of preparation
time would you estimate? TIA.

Unfortunately yes.

Depends on how good you are and how much time you are prepared to
spend on learning; so anything from a week to a year (a year if you're
stupid).

If you study a couple hours a week using Kalani's 70-316 book, it may
take about 3 months.

It'll take less time if you're already familier with Windows
programming in any form.
