Do anyone get a raise or better job after earn the MCSD for

I once knew a guy who got promoted from bagging groceries to a cushy desk
job at corporate headquarters, after he was accidentally locked inside the
freezer compartment overnight, and all he had was a GED. The guy who now has
his old job is a college graduate with a MCSD.

Your resume has a little better chance getting noticed with MCSD stamp on it
than without, but certification itself won't help you at all in the
interview where all you have is your brain.

However, the knowledge you've gained while preparing for the exams will
definitely be helpful.

The certification helps your resume remain out of the trash receptical when
the person looking for talent is pairing down the pool. If you truly learned
the material, it will aid you in passing any sort of tech interview, as
well. It does not substitute for experience, however.

All things being equal otherwise, a cert will help you get the upper hand,
unless you are socially a cad and it comes out in the interview. ;->
