looking for review/comparison of online photo hosting web sites
 

Anyone know of any relatively comprehensive attempts to catalog and
compare the features of the various online web sites offering digital
photo hosting? The weblog host we've been using has some limits that
make it less desirable for long term use.

I'm interested in particular with comparing the free sites, such as
textamerica, etc.

Any sites offering such a comparison?

Been looking for the same thing for a long time- no joy! But be careful
of Kodak. They';re in a court battle for firing an exec because she
blew the whistle on them. They were going to reduce the quality of all
stored images on their site WITHOUT TELLING THEIR CUSTOMERS! Now, of
course, they deny they had any such plan and that they fired her, after
years of doing great work for them and getting many promotions, for her
lousy work. If they'd pull a stunt like that on their customers, I
wouldn't trust them to store my images.

So far, I've found several such sites which say, in their FAQs or terms
of service, that they toss higher quality uploads after a few weeks or
months. Others limit how much accessing one can do of the images, or
refuse to allow other sites link to the photos, requiring people to
access the photos through the hosting site. Some seem to require
speciality software to organize and upload the photos.

Can you tell me which ones toss uploads ever? Or limit access?
