6509 Booting in rommon
I asked this a few months back but got called off to another site. So
here is some more information. The unit always goes into rommon mode when it is powered down and back up. Here is what is going on. That is not for the same card as what I have installed. Though it could
be the same issue a bad crystal. I just want to rule out everything else. |

Once the thing is booted, do: sho ver to see the RP config register. remote command switch sho ver to see the SP config register. If they don't match, set them so they do match and reboot (at least, that is the problem that we had, the cfg regs were not synced). hope this helps, c |

Pls post the show version...
The default config-register value should be 0x2102... If iti s anything else. then this may be the reason.. or else...ur NVRAM might be corrupted for which u may have to contact cisco TAC...... Cheers, Naveen B |

Have you set the configuration register to the normal value of 0x2102?
This would normally regain the correct boot sequence. |

As you are using hybrid, there are two config-registers, one on the SUP and
one on the MSFC. Both should be 0x2102.
