Making battery pack for Li battery.

Hi,

I got a Olympus IS-50 SLR(35mm) camera, and it comes with a pair of Li
battery of size 123A. Now these batteries are already low and I don't
want to shell out bucks in replacing batteries for each roll. So, I did
a quick search for making a battery pack and got some good articles in
groups.google.com. But, everyone talks about using NiCD or Lead acid
battery.

Can't I use 4 NiMH batteries to supply the required 6V?

Does anyone know any alternative?

Thanks
roror

4 NiMH cells (1.2 volts each) = 4.8 volts.

NiMH batteries are 1.2V
4x1.2=4.8
5x1.2=6
