How to get better seperation /Definition between background and foreground in digital pics.

Have that are very dark. Need a prog that will give better definition between
background and foreground of pics- also is there a digital camera that is
capable of taking very low light pics. Reply to baretale @yahoo.com

It's all in the lighting (and depth of field.)

Don't think of taking photographs - think of photographing the light.

Side light and back light separate a subject from its background. Using a
shallow depth of field (smaller aperture number, wider open aperture)
emphasises this effect.
