A70 shipping problems?
 

Is anyone aware of shipping problems with the Canon A70, especially in New
Zealand?

They're certainly in short supply in Australia. The only people who have
any stock are the ones charging full price (Au$699), and even most of
them have no stock.

I spoke to Canon Australia the other day, be aware that if you buy over
Ebay from someone claiming to be an Australian dealer, but shipping
product direct to you from Hong Kong, you won't get an Australian
warranty card, hence the camera has to go back to Hong Kong for
warranty. I don't know if anyone is doing the same thing in NZ.

The problem is world wide. Our buyer said that Canon said they are
having supply problems with some part or other.
