External enclosure for 2.5" HD doesn't appear on disk manager
 

Hello,
Have just bought an external enclosure and 80Gb hard drive to back up
my desktop, which is running Win 98.
After installing the necessary drivers, the device appears on the
Device Manager, and in the System Tray, but not on the Disk Manager.
When the cursor is over the icon in the system tray, it flashes up
"Safely remove Storage Device Drive ()".
The manufacturer is Constar, and it calls itself Samsung MP0804H.
Any help would be much appreciated!
