Reporting Spam
 

Hi. I have seen numerous posts where you all have sent abuse reports to the
offending party's ISP. May I ask exactly how and what you do?

Copy all the properties (headers) of the email, and send it to the abuse address
in the headers.

Bear in mind that abuse reports should be of abuse *of* the net, rather than
abuse *on* the net.
(reporting spam or disruptive attacks on newsgroups is important, but few
abuse depts are interested in hearing how somebody else annoyed you by what
they said or thought....)

Thanks. I understand. I was just going to report the "make money fast"
type things.

checkout www.spamcop.net it automates this process and reports it to a
number of places. Also on the spamcop site there are instructions on how to
view all the header information.
